Thalassa

Where the day slows to the rhythm of the tide. Caught at dawn, grilled over olive wood, eaten barefoot with the Aegean at your feet. Lunch here is not a meal. It is an afternoon.

Our Philosophy

A table set by the sea, a recipe handed down by hand.

It began with a single wooden table on the sand, a charcoal grill, and my grandmother Eleni, who believed no one should leave the water hungry. Sixty years later, the table has grown, but the promise has not changed: whatever the boats bring in that morning is what we cook for you that afternoon.

We do not write long menus. We salt the fish simply, dress the tomatoes with oil pressed from our own grove above Plaka, and let the sea air do the rest. Sit long. Order slowly. The carafe of wine is always cold, and the sunset is never in a hurry.

Save your seat for sunset.

We hold the best tables on the sand for those who book ahead. Tell us when you are coming, and the fish, the wine and the view will be waiting.
